STATEMENT OF FAITH
“We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy global church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.”
– Apostles’ Creed, 390 AD
CORE VALUES
Trinitarian - Father, Son, and Spirit model the self-sacrificial relationships we strive for. All our faith experiences are realized within this Trinitarian relationship.
Communal - Faith is never individual but always borrowed, shared, and passed.
Invitation - Jesus revealed, in fullness, the most compelling reality the world has ever known. He invites us into it, never coerces or forces.
Rooted - Christ followers across centuries have created a “well-worn path” for us to journey. We are not the creators of any of these ideas.
Co-creators - Life in the Kingdom, our process of formation, is not for ourselves alone but in order that we can more fully engage with and in God’s restorative mission in the world.
Knownness - Each human possesses the fingerprints of God. We have the opportunity to point to this identity, and call it to blossom to its full capacity within them.
