Experiment for the Week: Create a Rule of Life
Level 1
Write down just one thing you’d like to do differently to engage with God more each day. Enlist calendar reminders, phone alarms, or sticky notes, and tell those closest to you about it. Each of these things will help you form this single positive new habit.
Level 2
Create a rule of life for yourself using the guide daily, weekly, and monthly. What are things you want to engage in each day, things you may want to give up daily? If this is new for you, start small with the changes that are most important to you. Remember the 3-degree shift!
Level 3
In addition to level 2, begin to write a purpose statement for your life. Here are a few questions that can help you:
What kind of person do you want to become, and why?
What kind of person is God inviting you to become, why is that important, and how will that make the world better?
