Experiment for the Week: A Pause for Reflection
Level 1
Once a day, try to jot down at least 10 blessings you noticed that day. Keeping a running list in your phone can be helpful or placing a list by your bathroom sink that you can fill in while you brush your teeth.
Level 2
At a consistent time each day, take a few moments (5-10 minutes) to set your heart and mind on Christ. Reflect on all the things that happened that day and try to respond to these three questions:
Where did you recognize God at work today?
What happened today that you would consider blessings?
What do you want to be different about tomorrow?
Level 3
Set a silent/vibrate alarm on your phone for every 60-90 minutes to pause and become aware of God’s presence and His goodness in your world. You could pray the Lord’s Prayer at that time, journal what’s going on, or simply take a deep breath and just “be” for a few moments. Whatever seems fitting to you.
